ID Badges:
Each student will be provided with an ID badge that must be visibly displayed on the outside of their shirts, sweatshirts, or jackets. If lost or damaged, replacements will be available at the following costs:
Temporary ID: $1
New badge: $3
Lanyard: $2
In the event that the district implements the SmartTag system, replacement costs will be $5, plus the $2 lanyard fee. Each grade level has a designated lanyard color (6th: Navy, 7th: Black, 8th: Yellow).
School Uniforms:
Our scholars must wear solid grey, black, or gold shirts/sweatshirts. No white shirts are allowed. Scholars do not wear hoodies, shorts, or dresses. Additionally:
Sweatshirts: Must be grey, black, or gold without any graphics.
Jackets/coats/sweaters: Must be without hoods.
Pants: May be khaki, black, or denim.
Shoes:
Shoes must provide adequate support and safety. The following are not permitted:
Crocs, slides, open-toed shoes, sandals, flip-flops, house shoes, slippers, or steel-toe boots.
Headwear:
Only religious-based headgear is allowed. No other headgear (bandanas, caps, beanies, hats, durags, etc.) is permitted.
Backpacks and Bags:
Backpacks must be mesh or clear and free from any offensive or inappropriate imagery. Athletic bags must be stored in gym lockers by 9:00 am, and large purses are not permitted.
Containers/Water Bottles:
Only “factory-sealed” containers (water, Gatorade, juice) are allowed. Yeti, Rtic, or similar containers are not allowed.
Dress Code Protocol:
Scholars will be checked upon entry into the school. If a scholar is not in compliance, they will call home for appropriate clothing and will wait in the EC room until proper attire is provided.
Cell Phone/Electronic Device/Charging Policy

On campus, cell phones, headphones, smartwatches, Meta glasses, or any other type of electronic device will not be allowed to be visible in the hallways, cafeteria, gym, or classrooms. Students have Chromebooks; therefore, they will not be able to have any form of electronic devices out at any time.
Electronic devices may be carried to extracurricular activities after the regular school day.
Confiscated devices will be secured by campus administration.
CONSEQUENCES
1st Offense: Device taken and returned at the end of the school day; student signs policy, and parent notified.
2nd Offense: Device taken, 1 day lunch detention, parent conference and parent sign notice, and device returned at the end of the day.
3rd -4th Offenses: Device taken, 1 day after school detention, parent must pick up the phone and sign the policy. Parent will be reminded that the 5th offense will result in a hearing recommending DAEP.
5+ Offenses: Device taken, parent conference, and DAEP Placement.

10-10 Rule:
During the first and last 10 minutes of class, students are not allowed to leave the classroom unless it is an emergency. This policy helps protect instructional time.
Tardy Policy:
Students are expected to be on time. Accumulating three tardies may result in after-school detention, EC, or suspension, with a required parent conference for repeated tardies.
Nurse’s Pass:
Our school adheres to the District’s 9 B’s policy, which outlines the following emergencies for visiting the nurse:
Blood, Burns, Breaks/Big Bump, Burning up/Fever, Barf/Bowels, Breathing, Bites, Bonafide emergencies, or other specific medical conditions like allergic reactions, asthma, or seizures.
Students will be encouraged to remain in class if a situation does not fit into these categories.
Restroom Policy:
Restrooms are closed during class transitions. Scholars are allowed restroom access during PE and lunch. Each student is provided four restroom passes per class period every nine weeks.
